Two successes to report: Joe Ferguson & Bill Schroeder



The Buffalo Bills selected Joe Ferguson in the third round of the 1973 NFL Draft. He also played for the Detroit Lions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Indianapolis Colts. In 1975 Ferguson tied Fran Tarkenton for the NFL lead with 25 touchdown passes and compiled a passer rating of 81.3. He finished his career with 196 touchdowns thrown and 209 interceptions.

Bill Schroeder was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the eighth round of the 1979 amateur draft. Throughout his career, he was typically a platoon or bench player. 1987 was Schroeder's best season. He batted .332, and was a key member of "Team Streak", the Brewers team that won its first 13 games, tying a MLB record. On April 15, 1987, Schroeder caught the first no-hitter and only no-hitter by a single pitcher in Brewers' history, pitched by Juan Nieves.
