Two successes to report: Dana Kicker (7/4) & Leo Lewis (1/1)



Dana Kiecker made the Red Sox opening day roster out of spring training in 1990. He moved into the starting rotation in early May and made 25 starts. At the time it was the most GS for a Red Sox rookie since Mike Nagy had 28 in 1969. His first Major League win came at Fenway Park on June 9 vs. Cleveland, 11-6. He finished the regular season 8-9, 3.97 ERA, 152 IP, 145 H, 54 BB and 93 K. Named Red Sox Rookie of the Year by the Boston Baseball Writer's Association.






Leo Lewis played professionally 13 seasons, including 11 seasons (1981-1991) with the NFL’s Vikings. In fact, he was part of four Vikings playoff teams in the 1980s and later served as their Director of Player Development and as a pro scout from 1992 to 2005. He played 143 NFL games and recorded 182 receptions for 2,924 yards and 16 touchdowns. He is the founder of the Lewis Sports Foundation (LSF) is a nonprofit community service organization dedicated to providing our youth with the tools to develop life skills through education and physical activity.
