Two successes to report: Randy Carlyle (3/3) & Darcy Loewen (2/2)
Randy Carlyle is the former head coach of the National Hockey League (NHL)'s Toronto Maple Leafs and the Anaheim Ducks. He won the Stanley Cup in 2007 with the Ducks during his first stint with the team. As a player, Carlyle dressed for over 1,000 games between the Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Penguins and Winnipeg Jets, winning the James Norris Memorial Trophy as the NHL's best defenceman in the 1980–81 season and serving as a captain of both the Penguins and Jets.
Darcy Loewen played 135 games in the National Hockey League with the Buffalo Sabres and Ottawa Senators between 1989 and 1994. Loewen turned pro in 1989-90 with Buffalo's AHL affiliate, the Rochester Americans, with whom he spent the majority of his first three pro seasons. The expansion Ottawa Senators selected him in the 1992 NHL Expansion Draft. He was a member of Ottawa's opening night roster on October 8, 1992, and played in 79 games with the Senators during their inaugural season. Loewen's hard work and intensity made him a fan favorite in Ottawa.
