Two successes to report: Matt Young (2/2) & Craig Wolanin (4/4)

Matt Young played for the Seattle Mariners, Los Angeles Dodgers, Oakland Athletics, Boston Red Sox, & Cleveland Indians over his 11-year career, and is best known for his unofficial no-hitter against the Cleveland Indians while a member of the Boston Red Sox. On April 12, 1992, Young allowed two runs on seven walks and an error by shortstop Luis Rivera en route to the fourth no-hitter by a losing pitcher. Major League Baseball did not recognize the performance as a true no-hitter, as Young, playing for the losing team on the road, only pitched eight innings in his complete game loss.

Craig Wolanin was selected third overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft and made his NHL debut on October 10, 1985. Wolanin played 44 games during his rookie season, recording two goals, 16 assists and 74 penalty minutes. He played 13 seasons in the NHL for the Devils, Quebec Nordiques, Colorado Avalanche, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Toronto Maple Leafs. He played in a career-high 80 games during the 1990–91 season, earning an invitation to play for the United States national team at the 1991 IIHF World Championship at the end of the season.
