Three successes to report: Mark Duper, Peter Bergeron, & Brian McRae

Mark "Super" Duper played 11 seasons for the Miami Dolphins. A 3-time Pro Bowl selection, his best seasons were 1984, when he had 71 catches, 1306 yards and 8 touchdowns, and 1986, when he tallied 67 catches, 1313 yards and 11 touchdowns. Duper had four 1,000-yard seasons, with the final one coming in 1991 at age 32, when he posted 1085 yards. In 1990, Duper became only the second Dolphins player to surpass 7,000 career receiving yards. Duper caught 511 passes for 8,869 yards and 59 touchdowns in his career.

Peter Bergeron made his Major League Baseball debut with the Montreal Expos on September 7, 1999. In 2000 he served as the Expos' regular leadoff hitter and hit .245 with 5 home runs, 31 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 148 games played. He also led the National League with 16 outfield assists. He spent the next two years bouncing between Montreal and their Triple A affiliate in Ottawa. After starting 2004 with the Expos, Bergeron was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers in June.

Brian McRae played for the Kansas City Royals, Chicago Cubs, New York Mets, Colorado Rockies and Toronto Blue Jays from 1990 to 1999. The son of former major league All-Star, Hal McRae, he was a leadoff batter far more often (47%) than any other position in the lineup. He played 150 or more games in five different seasons. On July 14, 1991, he set his career high with six RBI on a two-run home run and a grand slam, all from the leadoff spot, in an 18-4 rout in Detroit. Less than a week later, he started a career-best 22-game hitting streak, which lasted from July 20 to August 13.
