Four successes to report today: Duane Ward (1/1), Norm MacIver (4/4), Paul Ysebaert (3/3), & Yan Kaminsky (3/3)

Duane Ward became one of the Blue Jays' most dependable relievers in 1988, and remained in the role through the 1992 season, when the Blue Jays won their first World Series. His pitching repertoire featured a lively, mid-90s fastball and a hard slider. Ward took over the closer's role in 1993 and set Toronto's single-season team record for saves with 45. In the 1993 World Series, Ward earned two saves over Philadelphia, in Game 1 and in Game 4 in Philadelphia. Ward was the winning pitcher for the decisive Game 6 in which Joe Carter hit a walk-off home run after Ward pitched in relief.

Norm MacIver played for six teams in the NHL during a thirteen-year professional career. Maciver played in his first career NHL game on October 9, 1986, recording an assist on a powerplay goal scored by Lucien Deblois in a 5–3 loss to the New Jersey Devils. He also played for the Hartford Whalers, Edmonton Oilers, Ottawa Senators, Pittsburgh Penguins, Winnipeg Jets, and Phoenix Coyotes.

Paul Ysebaert played 11 years in the National Hockey League as a left wing for the New Jersey Devils, Detroit Red Wings, Winnipeg Jets, Chicago Blackhawks, and Tampa Bay Lightning. Ysebaert accumulated a total of 336 points in 532 games during his career. Ysebaert was one of the more popular players in Detroit during the early 1990s after arriving in a trade from the New Jersey Devils. Earning the nickname "Rocket Man" from the fans, he enjoyed his best season in 1991–92, with 35 goals and 40 assists. He served as the first captain of the Tampa Bay Lightning, from 1995 to 1997.

Yan Kaminsky played in the Soviet Championship League and National Hockey League between 1989 and 1995. He played for Dynamo Moscow, Winnipeg Jets, and New York Islanders. He was inducted into the Russian and Soviet Hockey Hall of Fame in 1993.
