Six successes to report: Dominik Hasek, Troy Tulowitzki, Cat Osterman, Randy Ladouceur, Brian Skrudland, Denny Hocking & Tom Rathman.



Widely regarded as one of the best goaltenders of all time, Dominik Hašek played for the Chicago Blackhawks, Buffalo Sabres, Detroit Red Wings and the Ottawa Senators in his 16-season NHL career, before finishing his career in Europe. During his years in Buffalo, he became one of the league's finest goaltenders, earning him the nickname "The Dominator". His strong play has been credited with establishing European goaltenders in a league previously dominated by North Americans. He is a two-time Stanley Cup champion, both with the Red Wings.





The Colorado Rockies selected Troy Tulowitzki with the seventh overall selection of the 2005 MLB Draft. He made his MLB debut the following year. Tulowitzki is a five-time MLB All-Star, a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, and a two-time Silver Slugger Award winner. The Rockies traded him to the Blue Jays in 2015. Tulowitzki missed most of the 2017 season and all of the 2018 season with injuries, and the Blue Jays released him after the 2018 season. In 2019, he signed with the Yankees, playing the first five games of the season before retiring from baseball in late July.





Cat Osterman pitched on the USA Women's Softball Team which won the gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics and the silver medals in the 2008 and 2020 Summer Olympics. She was a four-time All-American and six-time professional All-Star. Osterman holds the Big 12 Conference pitching Triple Crown for her career wins, ERA, strikeouts, as well as shutouts, no-hitters, WHIP and perfect games, additionally claiming the NCAA Division I record for strikeout ratio (14.34). Osterman was also named #3 Greatest College Softball Player and the No. 1 pitcher in NCAA history.

Randy Ladouceur played in the NHL as a defenceman from 1982 to 1996. He played for the Detroit Red Wings, Hartford Whalers and the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. He played a total of 930 regular season games, scoring 30 goals and 126 assists for 156 points, collecting 1322 penalty minutes. He also played 40 playoff games in his career, scoring 13 points (5 goals and 8 assists). Ladouceur was a team captain for both Hartford and Anaheim.







Brian Skrudland made his NHL debut in 1985 for the Montreal Canadiens. He played 7.5 seasons with the Habs, winning the Stanley Cup in 1986. In game two of that series, Skrudland put his name in the NHL record books, when he scored the fastest overtime goal in Stanley Cup finals history at nine seconds. Skrudland was traded to the Calgary Flames during the 1992–1993 season. He moved to the expansion Florida Panthers for the 1993–1994 season and was the first captain in franchise history. Skrudland was instrumental in helping the Stars win the Stanley Cup in 1999.




Denny Hocking played for the Minnesota Twins (1993–2003), Colorado Rockies (2004), and Kansas City Royals (2005). He was a utility player for his entire career, playing every position except pitcher and catcher. Hocking's best year was 2000 when he had a .298 batting average with 4 home runs and 47 RBI, a year where he also played in 10 or more games at 7 different positions. Hocking was never a regular starter at any one position, but played over 100 games at shortstop, second base, third base, and right field.






Tom Rathman was selected by the 49ers in the third round of the 1986 NFL Draft with the 56th overall pick. His pro career spanned nine years as a fullback, the first eight with the 49ers. Rathman helped lead the 49ers to two Super Bowl championships, rushing for 38 yards, catching four passes for 43 yards, and scoring two touchdowns in Super Bowl XXIV. In 1989, he led all NFL running backs in receiving with 73 receptions for 616 yards. Rathman finished his NFL career with 2,020 rushing yards, 320 receptions for 2,684 yards with a total of 34 touchdowns.
